Fairhaven Team Captain Ben Haworth said after the match that;

”This was a fantastic win for the Fairhaven team against a North Shore team who on their day can all pack a mighty punch.  Congratulations to all those in the Fairhaven team last night and thanks to those who contributed so much in previous rounds.  All the matches, in both the final and previous rounds, were played in excellent spirit with a healthy mix of social banter and fiery competitiveness.

This result emphasises that in a head to head match play situation anyone is beatable on the night, no matter what the handicap difference, previous accomplishments and/or ability – that is what makes the Fylde Scratch League a success. Finally I would like to thank Old Links for hosting the final and wish everyone the best of luck for the 2010 league season.”
